Jyoti returns, Cheema to lead returning faces in Bermuda!

Cricket Canada has settled on a squad for their upcoming engagement at the ICC America's Division One Championship in Bermuda, but it does not include regular captain Ashish Bagai, who is being rested ahead of what is to be a gruelling push to the 2011 World Cup. Rizwan Cheema, who deputized for Bagai during the tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year, will captain the side in Bagai's absence.

There are some returning faces, including Sandeep Jyoti. The all-rounder missed out in the last tour and will be looking to make a comeback during the absence of Bagai. His use of the bat, tidy off-spin and fielding ability could give Cheema some support during the tour.

 

The team training camp has already started in Toronto, and the squad will leave on May 27 for the championship in Bermuda, which runs from May 28 to June 6.

Advance Cricket Coaching Camp

The Mississauga Ramblers Cricket Sports & Cultural Club is conducting an advance cricket coaching camp for all coaches intrested in junior cricket. All clubs are invited to take part in this special advance course that will be beneficial for all our Juniors in this league. This course will be conducted by Mr Anthony Pratt an Australian Level 2 Coach and first class cricket Player. It will be held at the WoodLands School, 3225 Erindale Station Rd, Mississauga L5C1Y5.

On two Friday's The 23rd and 30th of April from 6PM to 8PM.

A donation towards Ramblers junior cricket program for this course is $100.00 per person.

Intra-Club matches

Matches to be scheduled in First week of May, 2010.

Players will be picked based on:

1) Good Financial standing with the club

2) Indoor practice attendance

Performances in these matches will also be looked at while finalizing the teams for the initial league matches.

 

How to be in good financial standing?
New members - If you planning on joining us for this year, pay your club fees of $300 and hand in your completed form to the treasurer.

Returning Members - Make sure you are financial from previous years by asking the treasurer or any of the exec members and try to bring in your club dues for this year.
